Did you know that there are non technical IT jobs and that they are also fun? If you didn’t let me tell you that there are, and one of the most fun is the business analyst role. Now you might be wondering what I mean with “fun”. Let me tell you what I mean in this article.
How about if I tell you that the performance of this role involves using your charm to talk to people every day and engaging with them, using your creativity and making people happy by helping them to solve their problems. Would that be sound fun for you? If you liked the idea, let me tell you a little more about this role.
Different roles are involved in the software creation process, imagine it as a production chain. Said process is divided into stages: Elicitation, Analysis, Design, Development and Testing. In each of these stages, the task that gives them the name is carried out. The business analyst is responsible for conducting the elicitation, analysis and design.
The elicitation stage is where you should talk to the customer who has the problem, and who you will help solve your problem. In the analysis stage, is when you must use all your creativity, here is where you should think of the best solution to solve the customer’s problem. And finally comes the design stage, where you must capture the solution you have come up with.
In the analysis stage, is when you must use all your creativity, here is where you should think of the best solution to solve the customer’s problem.
Then comes the support part. Those responsible for the development and testing stages will ask you questions about the design. In the end, you will always end up socialising to design the best solution for your client as a team, who will end up thanking you for your valuable help.
I hope that if you were thinking of working in IT and do not have a technical background, you will be encouraged by this information and decide to become a business analyst.
